The 40-something [Law Lai Ching/羅麗晶(Adia Chan/陳松伶)] has had a rough romantic life. At this point of her life, she’s still busy cleaning up the mess left by her ex-boyfriend. With her being unemployed and just experiences the “worst breakup of her life” of getting dumped at the altar, she has no choice but to take part in a comeback competition for “all the losers in life” held by a hotel in town, in hopes of getting a stable job to make ends meet.
However, little did she know that the event organizer is none other than her one-night stand partner [Chong Fu Ho/莊富豪(Eddie Cheung/張兆輝)] from many years ago. Chong Fu Ho appears to have forgotten all about Law Lai Ching. Gradually, the two develop a good employer-employee relationship.
Chong Fu Ho’s son [Wayne Chong Tsun Wing/莊雋穎(Owen Cheung/張振朗)] has been demoted from the position of a General Manager of a hotel to a trainee after angering his father. With the help of Law Lai Ching, Wayne Chong’s relationship with his father slowly improves over time. Later on, Wayne Chong falls madly in love with a mysterious beautiful trainee named [Muse Miu/繆思/Jeannie Chan/陳瀅)] and she makes him lose all sense of direction in life. On one hand, Muse is his rival but he also wants to look after her.
What’s more ironic is Chong Fu Ho accidentally discovers that Law Lai Ching was his one-night stand partner from many years ago and he immediately changes the rules of the competition to a battle royale system, leading to many changes to people’s relationships. In the end, the middle-aged bachelorette is being pushed into the corner and finally makes a decision…….
